To Test or Not to Test - some Freebies to help

I've just read some interesting opinions on whether we should test or not test our children. I personally do not use testing...I don't believe it is an accurate measure for my children's ability or intelligence. But since we live in a world where testing will happen one day to them, I know that I will eventually expose them to this experience.

Courtesy of The Homeschool Minute from The Old Schoolhouse Magazine - the following are places where you can obtain some free testing for your children:

For elementary grade levels, ABC Teach provides free math test prep worksheets similar to standardized tests. They offer English test prep worksheets as well. For your high school student, 4 Tests.com has a wide variety of free test practice in areas such as ACT, GED, SAT, and college exams.

Study Guide Zone serves up tons of free test practice, including those geared for post-high school testing. You'll find vocational tests, graduate tests, financial and business tests, and more. In addition, there is a section devoted to college and study tips including learning styles and test anxiety.

Whether you test or not, be sure to teach your child good study habits. It will pay off in the long run. - Molly Green, Econobuster
